On paper, the viper has more potential, but it heavily relies on the rockets it has hitting well. Its got a bit more of a learning curve to to manage the different fire types. The overdriver is just simpler and more consistent in its approach. In reality, both likely fall about the same. Probably like A tier weapons. I would more so focus on miniguns if you can. I know they arent assault, but they are generally of a higher value or capability overall imo.

@@scape211 appreciate you scape; I have dual 16 mini’s already (awesome weapon) wasn’t sure if I should wonder into the assault side. I know Mech Arena is really trying to improve this sector. Was thinking about maybe placing the OverDriver 16 on a fast mech like Mimicker or 12’s in Eclipse…..or a high energy capacity future mech. Appreciated you; and thanks for such a fast response man!!

largely depends on the tier, your hangar, and playstyle. If you want more guidance on that, DM me on discord. thats going to be easier to discuss and share screenshots if needed.

@@1v1Editzz445 yea disruptors are decent on Orion I believe. Haven’t played with it much though. early disruptors are better than later. Once mods start creeping in, disruptors tend to get worse. Since this account is closer to late game I don’t play too much with disruptors.

@@Rex_B I really only do 2v2 during events so I don’t have a ton of it. Kax has a good amount of 2v2 content.

@@DannyMecharena I like more ranges weapons on my eclipse so I would lean more towards eclipse but most weapons work on surge too so it can go either way I’m sure.

Hey one more similar question killshot with gravtion 10 and surge ember 12 and 8 or opposite combo is better?

@@Typicalfire1 I think I would still use embers on surge. Given his EMP, he should still have a good window to take someone out with those or at least cripple them and be able to finish them off before they come back. Killshot is likely too fragile for that so I can see the range working better for him. In either case though, killshot will struggle imo...

@@nathankigenyi9982 possibly. Most people who have nomad spend so they also likely have revolvers which are better than embers though.

You mean like alternate fire? Yea it depends on the situation. If I corner shoot or just try to proc overheat before unloading more ammo I will alternate. But when I get in close I usually just fire both for quicker dps. I dunno which is better though.

I dont think its related to country. You cant get it on steam or other apps yet. Its a file the devs supply on their discord since its still alpha. When it goes into beta, they will likely put it on steam. Try going to their discord to get access.

minigun 8. EMs are likely one of the best sniper weapons right now, but its very difficult to use due to mods. Miniguns generally do better overall

Yes he is a consideration. I just dont plan to invest into him before others. I dont think anything will directly take eclipse. aegis, or surge's spot so those will be a focus first. Orion is still just undecided. I do already have disruptors and have used them before in a 12/6 setup. But given how disruptors have been with mods, I may do something else anyways. Still not sure there.

@@scape211 agreed. From my experience, disruptors need Orion to do okay vs mods. But important notice is I mainly use the setup in 5v5 and 2v2.

Yea that has been my focus lately. I still have losses on this map more often that others given the way AI plays or doesnt play. This was just an extreme as I worried the same would happen. Mistakes were made of course :)

@@ishangoyal8552 depends on what you plan to run. Guided is actually in a pretty bad spot right now. The disc launcher is much less effective than it used to be and the savant lost a bunch of value after mods came out. Helix is probably the best item to run from guided and has limited value for certain maps. And since pilots are generally tied to their innate abilities now in terms of effectiveness, it will likely be less useful. I’m guessing something good will happen for guided eventually so if you are ok with using the resources and can guarantee getting it, it’s not a terrible idea.

@@PukMaxi yea I’ve also debated using helix on him since my disc build has been far less useful. Might do like nades or beams on aegis and then helix for Orion. Orion is a great mech but I do think others will be better towards end game if they become available.

@@scape211 Yeah my DL8 really started to fall off as I hit the 7k mark. So I focused on my Orion for a couple of months and got him to 6 stars. About the helix you're totally right. Any hide and seek weapon is great on him.
